Moscow State University will pass state exams and defend diplomas online because of coronavirus

Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov will conduct state exams and defense of thesis online due to the situation with coronavirus.

“10 602 graduates will be produced by the State Commission in the prescribed manner, that is, members of the State Commission will be in touch, they will see the graduate, identify the personality, and the final exam will be held: answers, questions, evaluation,” Sadovnichi announced at a meeting of the working group on the organization of educational activities in the conditions of coronavirus.

Protection of final qualification works will also take place online, and technically it is easier to organize than state examinations, the rector noted.

At the same time, the traditional presentation of “red diplomas” at Moscow State University this summer will most likely not take place.
