Administrative cases under Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offences. May 2020

Due to the increase in the number of administrative cases under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda and public demonstration of Nazi symbols and symbols of banned organizations), we combine such cases into a single list for each month.

On May 22, 2020, the Kantemirovsky District Court of the Voronezh Region fined a local resident Denis Pavlovsky 1,000 rubles for publishing an image of Nazi symbols on a social network. Details, unfortunately, are unknown.
On May 27, 2020, the Zavodskoy District Court of Kemerovo fined 30-year-old local tattoo artist Alexei Zyryanov 1,000 rubles for allegedly displaying Nazi tattoos in public. Details, unfortunately, were not disclosed.
On May 27, 2020, it became known that the Dzerzhinsky District Court of the Kaluga Region fined a prisoner of the local IK-2 for 1.5 thousand rubles for demonstrating his tattoos with the symbols of the Third Reich to other prisoners.
On May 21, 2020, it became known that in the Ordzhonikidzevsky district of Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, a court fined a 35-year-old local resident who published some photos with a swastika on the VKontakte social network. In what context the photos were posted and what exactly was depicted on them, unfortunately, was not reported.
On May 9, 2020, in Orel, the Zheleznodorozhny District Court arrested 67-year-old Alexander Nesterov for 5 days, who earlier that day hung a flag with a swastika on the facade of his house. According to media reports, after the police arrived, the man unsuccessfully tried to burn the flag.
On May 12, 2020, it became known that in Kostroma a court fined a local resident who had a swastika tattoo on his finger.
On May 8, 2020, it became known that a local resident born in 1982 was arrested in Krasnoyarsk for 8 days, who posted some images with prohibited symbols on a social network. The Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory published a video of the arrest of the defendant: several fighters of the Russian Guard broke into his apartment, after which he was laid face down on the floor and handcuffed. It was not reported what exactly caused such a disproportionate severity of detention to the offense committed.
On May 8, 2020, it became known that in the city of Apatyty, Murmansk Region, a court fined a local resident for 1,000 rubles for posting photographs and videos on a social network containing some prohibited symbols. Details, unfortunately, are unknown.
