Kovdor: a verdict was passed in the case under Art. 280

In May 2020, it became known that in the Murmansk region a local resident was sentenced to 2 years in prison on probation for publishing materials calling for violence against people from the Caucasus.

In May 2020, it became known that in the city of Kovdor, Murmansk Region, a verdict was passed in the case of public incitement to extremism (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code).

In the dock was a local resident born in 1982, who, according to law enforcement agencies, published images and texts on the VKontakte social network that contained calls for violence against people from the Caucasus.

Details, unfortunately, were not reported.

The Kovdorsky District Court of the Murmansk Region found the man guilty and sentenced him to 2 years of probation with a 2-year probationary period.

The verdict has already entered into force.
