A 27-year-old resident of the city of Sterlitamak was sentenced to 1 year of probation.
On June 2, 2020, it became known that in Bashkortostan, the Sterlitamak City Court found 27-year-old Fanil Kamalov guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public incitement to extremism on the Internet) and sentenced him to 1 year of probation with a probationary period of 1 year and deprivation of the right to administer websites for 2 years.
According to the prosecutor’s office, in December 2018, a young man left comments on VKontakte, “which contained calls for the destabilization of the activities of state authorities, as well as the commission of violent acts on ethnic grounds.” Perhaps this is the case .
