The authorities of St. Petersburg developed a "road map" to restore planned medical care. This was stated by the Governor of the city Alexander Beglov at a meeting of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation to counteract the distribution of coronavirus.
According to Beglov, the hospitals, re -profiled to help patients with coronavirus, will gradually return to standard regime. The governor promised that this would be done taking into account the epidemic situation and the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor and while maintaining the required number of beds.
First of all, federal medical centers will be returned to the standard regime, and after them - specialized and multidisciplinary hospitals under the city’s management, Beglov said. At the same time, the authorities also developed measures for the operational deployment of beds if the situation worsens again.
Beglov did not say when exactly the hospitals would begin to return to the standard regime. The governor only specified that most restrictions will remain until June 14, and then the authorities will make decisions based on the epidemic situation.
The basic requirements of Rospotrebnadzor for removing restrictions are 50 % of free beds for patients with coronavirus and pneumonia and a low coefficient of spread of RT infection (it should be lower than a unit for the first stage of removal and below 0.8 for the second stage). As of June 11, the RT coefficient is 0.875. As of June 8, it was free less than 10 % of the bed fund. Read more about why St. Petersburg is not ready to remove restrictions, read in an interview with “Papers” with the head of the working group to predict the distribution of Covid-19 Alexei Borovkov.
Nevertheless, the authorities of St. Petersburg are increasingly discussing a gradual exit from the restriction regime. For example, it is planned to resume the work of hairdressers, libraries and car sharing in the near future. Smolny discusses with Rospotrebnadzor the opening of a cafe and summer verandas. June 20 in St. Petersburg will be held the festival "Stars of the White Nights".
