
The new owner of Vedomosti, Ivan Eremin, suggested that the editorial staff be nominated his candidate to the post of chief editor of the publication. This was told by Open Media several newspaper journalists. Eremin promised that the approved candidacy would be considered on the Council of Directors, which is now only being formed.
According to the publication, according to the Charter of “Business News Media”, publishing “Vedomosti”, the editorial office has the right to nominate its candidacy for the position of chief editor, but the order proposed by Yeremin does not correspond to what is described in the charter. In particular, the charter says that the counting of the candidate from the editorial office should deal with the accounting commission, describes the procedure for its formation, the procedure for counting votes. Journalists were offered to write the name of the candidate for e-mail. Who will count the voices is not specified.

Earlier, Vedomosti belonged to Arkan Investment Demyan Kudryavtsev, Vladimir Voronov and Martin Pompadur. In March, it became known that they had previously agreed on the sale of the publication to Zyatkov and the managing director of Arbat Capital to Alexei Golubovich. However, Golubovich left the transaction. After that, Andrei Shmarov, who was impudently acting as the chief editor of the publication, was impudently acting.
