More than 50 protesters against the bill on national security were detained in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong police announced the detention of 53 protest shares against the adoption of the bill on ensuring national security.

A total of 53 people, 41 men and 12 women were detained on suspicion of participating in illegal meetings.

According to TASS, the shares were held in the mainland of the city, in the Mogkokok trade and entertainment area. Law enforcement officers, after several warnings, used force to accelerate people, including pepper cans.

Earlier on June 28, members of the Permanent Committee of the All -Chinese Assembly of People's Representatives began to consider the bill on ensuring national security in Hong Kong.

The project provides for measures to prevent security threats in Hong Kong, including a prohibition on "Secession, subversive actions and terrorism." Supporters of Hong Kong autonomy feared that this will allow the Chinese authorities without a trial to detain the citizens that were not indomitable.
