
Vladimir Putin on the eve of the main voting day on amendments to the Constitution made a short appeal to the Russians. He urged everyone to come to the vote.
“We vote not just for amendments, we vote for the country in which we want to live, for which we work,” he added.
Putin once again emphasized, amendments to the Constitution will enter into force only if they are supported by most of the voters.
All -Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution takes place from June 25 to July 1. The main voting day (July 1) has been declared a day off in the country. Residents of Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod region participate in online voting.
In the vote, including in remote, over 49 million people took part in the first five days. According to the chairman of the CEC Ella Pamfilova, the turnout was 45.7%.
