Anti-Semitic and anti-church video files recognized as extremist in Novgorod

Video files inciting hatred towards priests and Jews have been recognized as extremist in Novgorod.

On July 2, 2020, the Novgorod District Court of the Novgorod Region recognized anti-Semitic and anti-church videos posted on the Internet as extremist materials. We are talking, among other things, about video files: “SODOMITE ... AND Yids IN RASAS - SERVANTS OF SATAN. Part. 2", "PATRIARCH" KYRIL ... CORONATION ANTICHRIST", "On the Latin heresy and sodomy in the Russian Orthodox Church", "DEMONS IN PASSPORTS", "BISHOP DIOMIDES (Chukotsky). Hieromonk Anatoly Shlyakhov”, “CHURCH PIGS GRUNTING (full version). Hieromonk Anthony Shlyakhov.

These materials were posted on the social network by D. Kusov. February 18, 2019 Kusov was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred). Kusov did not appear in court, he is being treated at GOBUZ "NKTsSP" and participate in court session could not.

Videos incited hatred, according to court records and enmity towards Jews and the Orthodox priesthood. According to the results of a socio-humanitarian examination, the content of the video files "has clearly expressed knowingly extremist character, their content substantiates and justifies extremist activity, are intended to publicly bring their content to the attention of an unlimited circle persons".

In December 2020, the video files were added to the Federal List of Extremist Materials (pp. 5133-5138).
