Shegigumen Sergius (Romanov) in absentia On July 3, 2020, it became known that in Yekaterinburg, a church court had defrocked . He also became a defendant in an administrative case under Part 9 of Art. 13.15 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Dissemination on the Internet of knowingly unreliable socially significant information under the guise of reliable messages that has created a threat of harm to the life and (or) health of citizens, if these actions of the person distributing information do not contain a criminally punishable act”). In mid-June 2020, the schiigumen gathered his supporters at the Sredneuralsk convent and posted guards from the Cossacks at the entrance. On July 1, 2020, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation demanded that Youtube remove the video of his sermon with a call not to participate in the voting on amendments to the Constitution.
