A resident of the Orenburg region was brought to justice for “illegal” missionary work

A resident of the Kuvandyksky district of the Orenburg region was able to challenge court decisions holding her accountable for distributing Baptist literature without notice of the formation of a religious group.

July 6, 2020 Sixth Court of Cassation General the jurisdiction of Samara left unchanged the decision of the court district No. 2 cities of Kuvandyk and Kuvandyksky district of the Orenburg region dated January 22 2020 and the decision of the Kuvandyk District Court dated March 20, 2020 in regarding Lyubov Kistanova, and left her complaint about these decisions without satisfaction.

Kistanov was found guilty under Part 4 of Art. 5.26 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for the dissemination of materials on the doctrine of the gospel Christian Baptists without notifying the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation of the existence religious group.
