The Russian Foreign Ministry considered the US space forces on the testing of Russia's space weapons “part of the information campaign to discredit” cosmonautics. The application is published on the website of the foreign policy.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the United States "is trying to present the situation in a distorted form" to distract attention "from real threats in space." What real threats are meant in the department did not say.

The Foreign Ministry argues that the trials of the Russian satellite, which the United States spoke about, did not create threats to other spacecraft and "did not violate any norms and principles of international law."

Earlier, Great Britain and the United States said that Russia conducted a testing apparatus in space, capable of destroying satellites in near -Earth orbit.
