A synagogue in Yevpatoria was fined for “illegal” missionary work

The court fined the synagogue of Messianic Jews "Chava Nagila" from Evpatoria for the lack of a full name on the page of the religious organization "VKontakte". This was regarded as illegal missionary work.

August 26, 2020 Magistrate's Court of Court Section No. 20 of the Central Judicial District of Simferopol recognized the synagogue of the Messianic Jews of Evpatoria "Hava Nagila" guilty under Part 3 of Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (implementation by a religious organization activity without indicating its official full name).

Composition of the offense found that the page of the synagogue "VKontakte" did not indicate the full the name of the religious organization.

The synagogue was fined 30 thousand rubles.
