Fake "Time" program: Lukashenko's regime saved the economy of Belarus from destruction

According to the logic of the author of the plot of Anton Vernitsky, changes, except for the reduction in the name of the tractor per soft sign, are to maintain what was. This is most reminiscent of the queen's phrase from Alice to Zlavrakalia: “Here, you know, you have to run with all their feet in order to only stay in the same place!”

However, the secret of this economic surroundings is well known. SCIENCES PO, former chief economist of the European Bank of Economics and Development, Sergei Guriev, explained the nature of the Lukashenkovsky “Economic Miracle”:

“The growth of the Belarusian economy is largely determined by subsidies from Russia. Russia supplies the support of the Belarusian economy on a number of channels. According to the IMF, this support in different years amounted to 10% to 25% of the Belarusian GDP. Including this support consisted with the support of oil at subsidized prices, and in this sense Belarus, although this is an economy that does not produce oil exists due to oil. Belarus buys cheap oil from Russia, processes it at its factories and sells it to the world market at market prices, and in this sense it is the same oil country as Russia.

On the other hand, after oil prices decreased and after Russia itself began, we saw that economic growth in Belarus was over. Over the past ten years, the Belarusian economy has practically not grown, and this is part of the reasons why Belarusians understand that this regime has come to a standstill.

Belarusian enterprises need restructuring and reforms, Belarus needs investments, and this naturally cannot be done in an economy based on state property. Belarusian enterprises are in state property, receive loans from state banks and, accordingly, rely on support from the public sector, which, in turn, lives at the expense of Russian subsidies.

If Russia turns to sponsor the Belarusian economy directly or indirectly, then, of course, reforms will have to be carried out in Belarus. This regime, which is based on state property, ineffectiveness and geopolitical manipulations, is certainly doomed. ”

Here are just one examples of how Lukashenkov’s state -owned enterprises work. The Minsk Tractor Plant mentioned by Vernitsky - the “real Belarusian brand” - reported for 2019, demonstrating the growth of net profit 37 times (!) Compared to the previous year. At the same time, the revenue increased by 14%, but the profit from the sale of products decreased by 2.3%. There was 7 times less free money in the enterprise's accounts than a year earlier. The profit was formed due to the exchange rate difference, that is, simply due to a decrease in the course of the Belarusian ruble for world currencies and Russian ruble. The receivables of the plant for 2019 increased by 24% and approximately an order of magnitude higher than its net profit per year.

In Latvia, many giant industrial enterprises that formed in Soviet times really have ceased to exist. This is inevitable in a situation where the country had to reorient from Soviet sources of raw materials and markets to European ones. The same VEF radio plant, a significant part of the production of military products, was closed by the end of the 1990s, and the Russian economic crisis of 1998 played an important role in the cessation of production.

In the EU countries, the most important sectors - agriculture and woodworking industry, oriented to the EU countries. But this does not mean that there was no engineering, electronics and chemical industry in the country. Latvia even has its own aircraft industry: in the city of Adazhi, a private company collects the original Latvian ultra -light Tarragon aircraft, which is considered the most speedy in its class.

“If I had several billion in my pocket, maybe I would have done like Poroshenko. It is unlikely, of course, but I sometimes think so. But if I do not have these billions, so I'm not afraid. Once I leave, maybe, but I will not allow what we created with people, with these generations, I will not let them destroy it. This is what I live and how this country has changed. ”

Lukashenko did not explain what act of the former president of Ukraine he meant, but Petro Poroshenko honestly recognized his defeat in the elections and went to the opposition. Did Lukashenko stopped making this only a lack of money?
