The investigation refused to explain to Ivan Safronov the essence of the prosecution, because “not so understood” his petition

Investigator Alexander Chaban refused to explain to the journalist Ivan Safronov the essence of the charged in the Stateizer, since his petition “did not understand”. This was reported by "MBH Media" with reference to the lawyer Ivan Pavlov.

“I learned that the investigator, as it were, did not understand how he said, there will be no petition of Ivan and present him the documents that he asks. He is not going to present them to Ivan and his defender. “The wrong one understood” our petition. How could it be not so understood? The absurdity continues, we will act within the framework of the opportunities that we have, ”said Pavlov.

Earlier, the lawyer reported that the investigation satisfied Safronov’s petition to explain to him the essence of the charges. In it, Safronov asked him to interrogate him “with preliminary presentation to familiarize the information, which, according to the investigation, were collected and transferred to the representative of the Czech intelligence in 2017”. The investigator told Pavlov that he allegedly satisfied the petition, but at the same time he still did not provide Safronov with materials.

Recall that Safronov was detained on charges of Gosizman on July 7 and sent under arrest, he is contained in the Lefortovo pre -trial detention center. According to the FSB, in 2012, a journalist who then worked in Kommersant was recruited by Czech special services. In 2017, he allegedly transferred secret data on the military-technical cooperation of Russia with the countries of Africa to foreign intelligence officers, as well as information on the activities of the Russian armed forces in the Middle East. Safronov does not plead guilty and connects criminal prosecution with his journalistic activity.
