The text of the ruling on bringing as accused members of the Church of the Last Testament has been published .
On September 25, 2020, the text of the decision to bring Sergei Torop (Vissarion), Vadim Redkin and Vladimir Vedernikov, drawn up on September 22, 2020 in Abakan, as accused members of the Church of the Last Testament, was published. We are talking about a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 239 of the Criminal Code (creation of a religious association whose activities involve violence against citizens or other harm to their health, as well as the leadership of such an association) and paras. "a", "b" part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm by an organized group against two or more persons).
According to the text of the decision, it becomes clear that the basis for initiating a case under Art. 111 of the Criminal Code, there were two cases of the development of mental disorders in members of the community (disorders of sleep and wakefulness F51.2 and Z73.1 according to ICD-10 and anxiety disorder F41.9 according to the same classification of diseases) in the period from 1999 to 2013 and from 1999 to 2017 respectively.
"Violence against citizens", which became the basis for initiating a criminal case under Art. 239 of the Criminal Code, according to the text of the resolution, consisted in “ the systematic application (to citizens - ed.) of manipulative group organized psychological violence (devaluation, control, gaslighting, ignoring, isolation, blackmail and intimidation, psychological manipulation) and constant physical and psychological deprivation (a system of hard deprivations and restrictions) ."
Such an impact, the text says further, “ contributed to a decrease in critical thinking and the perception of ongoing events as violent and led to destructive consequences for mental and psychological health (citizens - ed.) , in the form of low self-esteem and a distorted self-concept, social and emotional maladaptation and disorientation, intellectual dysfunction, learned helplessness, inability to make independent decisions and responsible actions, lack of initiative in work and in personal life, various and extensive psychosomatic disorders . At the same time, specific victims were not named.
In addition, the text of the decision on the involvement as defendants says that “created by Torop S.A. the organized group was characterized by the constancy of the forms and methods of criminal activity”, among which:

duration of existence (from June 24, 1994 to September 22, 2020),

distribution of crimes into stages: “creation of a religious association”, “search for adherents”, “taking measures for protection”, “receiving funds from adherents”, “disposal of funds”.
Recall that the defendants were detained in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on September 22 and are currently under arrest.
