The traffic police enhance control over users of electric scapes. About this writes "Kommersant".
According to the publication, in Tatarstan and a number of other regions they are already deprived of a driver’s license, subjected to administrative arrest and sentenced to compulsory work for driving, refusing to examine or driving without certificates. Inspectors equates devices with a capacity of more than 250 watts to mopeds, which entails the need to have the right and be liable on a par with the owners of other vehicles.
In particular, in the summer in Kazan, inspectors stopped a man on an electric scooter with a capacity of 2.4 kW, which was previously deprived of rights. The scooter was sent to a special parking lot, and the driver was sentenced to 100 hours of compulsory work under Part 2 of Art. 12.7 Code of Administrative Offenses (control of the vehicle by a driver deprived of the right to control). In September, another resident of Kazan on an electric scooter was arrested for 10 days for refusing a medical examination.
