Interbrand has published another ranking of the most expensive brands of 2020. Four newcomers appeared in it at once - Instagram, Tesla, Youtube and Zoom.
In the first place in the ranking is again Apple with an estimate of $ 322 billion. Over the year, it has risen in price by 38%. In second place is Amazon ($200 billion, +60%), in third is Microsoft ($166 billion, +53%). The top 5 also includes Google ($165 billion, -1%) and Samsung ($62 billion, +2%).
Among the brands included in the rating, the most significant growth for the year after the leaders of the rating was shown by digital services - Spotify (+52% to a valuation of $8.3 billion) and Netflix (+41% to $12.6 billion).
In the client IT sector, not only are the companies with the greatest growth, but also three newcomers - owned by Facebook Instagram ($26 billion), Youtube ($17.3 billion) and Zoom ($4.48 billion) included in the ranking in 100th place. Facebook itself (-12%) and Disney (-8%) sank over the year in the sector.
The most serious drop among the rating companies is at General Electric (-30%, to $17.9 billion). In the automotive sector, no brand showed positive growth for the year, but a newcomer appeared in the sector - Elon Musk's Tesla with an estimate of $12.7 billion immediately took 40th place.
After the pandemic, the assessment of all luxury brands (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, Prada, Gucci) and clothing in the mass market segment (Zara, H& M) fell.
