The head of the rescue service in Kamchatka was fined for rest with friends on a patrol boat

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatka City Court fined 50 thousand rubles of the former director of the rescue service, who was resting in the service patrol boat. This was reported by TASS with reference to the FSB management in the Kamchatka Territory.

The ex-head of the “Center for ensuring the action on civil defense, emergency situations and fire safety in the Kamchatka Territory” was found guilty of exceeding official powers (part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code).

The investigation claims that in 2016-2017, the director used the only patrol and rescue boat of the center for relaxation with friends in the Avachinsky Bay.

The former director also recovered 230 thousand rubles for gasoline from him. The former rescuer appealed this decision, but the court of appeal upheld him.
