Administrative cases under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offences. November 2020

Due to the increase in the number of administrative cases under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (production and distribution of prohibited materials), we combine such cases into a single list for each month.

  • On November 25, 2020, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Lipetsk fined 20-year-old Nikita Malikov for freely posting video materials on the federal list of extremist materials, Nazi symbols, and symbols of an extremist organization banned in the Russian Federation on the territory of the Russian Federation. He was also punished under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda and public display of Nazi symbols).

  • On November 23, 2020, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Lipetsk fined Yegor Smirnov for publishing freely available materials on the VKontakte social network, included in the federal list of extremist materials, Nazi symbols. He was also punished under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda and public display of Nazi symbols).

  • On November 20, 2020, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Lipetsk fined Andrey Kopytin for freely publishing materials on the federal list of extremist materials and Nazi symbols in the social network VKontakte. He was also punished under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (propaganda and public display of Nazi symbols).

  • On November 23, 2020, the Industrial District Court of the city of Barnaul, Altai Territory, fined Daria Muzharovskaya 1,000 rubles for publishing a leaflet on the social network VKontakte, “Look, what a scum prince, it has started up in the Kremlin walls!”, which was recognized as extremist by the Kropotkin City Court of the Krasnodar Territory 24 May 2011 and included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials (p. 899). Free access materials have been removed.

  • On November 24, 2020, it became known that in the Tula region, a court in the Tula region fined a farmer from Novomoskovsk for 1,000 rubles for publishing banned anti-Semitic material on his social network page.

  • On November 24, 2020, it became known that in the Republic of Mari El, the Yoshkar-Ola City Court fined a 29-year-old local resident for 1,000 rubles for posting a video included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials on his VKontakte page.

  • On November 5, 2020, the Kostomuksha City Court of the Republic of Karelia fined Yury Pupynin 1,000 rubles

  • On November 9, 2020, it became known that the Vozhegodsky District Court of the Vologda Oblast fined Aleksey Mayatin, who published materials included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials on his VKontakte page. The man was also fined under Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

  • On November 8, 2020, it became known that the Yoshkar-Ola City Court of the Republic of Mari El fined a local resident who published a video included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials on his VKontakte page.

  • On November 6, 2020, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Smolensk Region announced that revealed 7 offenses for publishing extremist materials from 26 October to November 4, 2020 as part of the event "With hatred and xenophobia is not on our way."

  • On November 16, 2020, the Department of Internal Affairs for the South-Eastern Administrative District of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow reported that an administrative protocol had been drawn up against a 62-year-old visitor for distributing extremist materials. Measures were taken within the framework of the event "With hatred and xenophobia is not on our way", which was held from October 26 to November 4, 2020. The protocol was also drawn up for the promotion of Nazi symbols.

  • On November 6, 2020, it became known that in the Irkutsk region, a court fined a resident of Angarsk for 1,000 rubles for posting a video included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials on his VKontakte page.

  • On November 6, 2020, it became known that in the Kostroma Region, a court fined a resident of Kostroma, who on October 14, 2020 transferred to FKU IK-7 UFSIN “books of religious content for a prayer room,” two of which are included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials. Unfortunately, we don't know which books we're talking about.

  • On November 5, 2020, it became known that the Vologda District Court of the Vologda Oblast fined Ekaterina Baklanova, a resident of the village of Kuvshinovo, 1,000 rubles for posting audio and video recordings included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials on her VKontakte page.
