Sochi resident fined for “illegal” missionary work

Resident Sochi, who conducted gymnastics classes according to the Falun Gong system in the park, fined for "illegal" missionary work.

6 November 2020 it became known that in Sochi the court fined a local resident Sergei Baldanov under Part 4 of Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (implementation missionary activity in violation of the requirements of the legislation on freedom conscience, freedom of religion and religious associations).

Compound offenses of the FSB, and then the court saw that in August in Komsomolsk Park in Sochi Baldanov taught gymnastics according to the Falun Gong system. According to one of the witnesses, during the class he was "quoting Master from a book." The FSB and the court regarded this as an agitation to join Falun Gong.

Court fined him ten thousand rubles.
