The Ministry of Justice is preparing further amendments to the law on freedom of conscience

In November 2020, it became known about the prepared Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on new amendments to the laws “On freedom of conscience and religious associations" and "On non-profit organizations." The amendments provide for the possibility meetings and meetings governing bodies of non-profit and religious organizations online.

Public discussion of the draft law was held 6-20 november.

If these amendments, it will be possible to hold meetings online on issues that do not require secret ballot.

Similar bill was submitted to the State Duma by a group of deputies in April 2020, but in July it was withdrawn.
