On November 20, 2020, it became known that the administration Irkutsk region allocated 13.2 million rubles from the regional budget for repairs and restoration of religious buildings - cultural monuments.
Of these funds, 7.3 million were allocated for the restoration of the Church of Michael the Archangel in the village of Bolshoy Cashelak of the Kuytunsky district, 3.7 million - for the renovation of the domes of the Uspenskaya churches in Irkutsk and 2.2 million were allocated to repair the facades of the Irkutsk synagogue.
Most of the work has already been completed. It is noted that this the first case of financing the restoration of religious objects from the regional budget.
