Moscow region: case under Art. 282 CC

A resident of Zhukovsky is accused of inciting hatred with the use of violence.

On November 23, 2020, it became known that in the Moscow Region the case of a resident of Zhukovsky, accused under paragraph “a”, part 2 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting social hatred with the use of violence).

According to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, the defendant published on his VKontakte page and on his YouTube channel several videos “of his own production and authorship”, which contain calls for violence against law enforcement officers. Unfortunately, it is not reported with what actions of the man the accusation of violence is connected.

The criminal case was sent to the Ramensky City Court.

Let us recall that from our point of view, law enforcement officers should not be considered a vulnerable social group protected by anti-extremist legislation. Moreover, we are in favor of excluding the vague concept of “social group” from the anti-extremist legislation.
