
The governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov called for strict measures against organizers and participants in concerts in case of violation of sanitary rules - up to the stop of events. It is reported by TASS.
According to Beglov, the situation in St. Petersburg is not easy: the hospitals work with overload, and the load on doctors increased 50 times. The governor noted that only universal compliance with the rules will help stop the growth of incidence in the city.
- At concerts, look at what is going on. What, tomorrow we will close all concerts, the day after tomorrow we’ll close everything? Brokes and doctors are not endless. You can’t get money at the expense of someone or have fun. A difficult situation in the city, and only joint responsibility will make it possible to defeat the pandemic. We have already passed it at the first ascent, now we need to go through it in the same way as well as a second ascent.
Previously, Rospotrebnadzor suspended the work of the ice palace due to identified violations of restrictions on Covid-19. On November 27 and 28, there were mass concerts of Basta with thousands of visitors. The palace stated that the event was without violations. Later, the authorities of St. Petersburg promised to verify compliance with the restrictions on the Covid-19 at the concert.
In the evening of November 30, rapper Basta made an official statement about criticizing his concerts. He said that the team coped with the task of holding the event according to all safety rules, and also accused other organizers of unprofessionalism and hinted at the “promotion” of the topic in the media.
In November, in St. Petersburg more covid-19 diseases were revealed than all the previous months of the pandemic. The head of the pandemic project’s working group, Alexei Borovkov, told the “paper” that, according to his forecast, the incidence of coronavirus in St. Petersburg would grow before the January holidays. Only after this is expected to decrease.
