The Ministry of Justice will remove from the cities of the pre -trial detention center and colony

The Ministry of Justice is developing a pilot project to remove all colonies and pre -trial detention centers from cities. This was announced by Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuychenko in an interview with Russia-24 television channel.

According to him, "FSIN institutions must receive a certain transformation."

Now the ministry is working on a pilot project in order to “optimize everything and remove the reality associated with imprisonment, from people from cities, forming individual sites for this.”

In the course of optimizing the work of the FSIN, attention will be switched to prevention and work with people who, after committing a crime, were not in places of imprisonment in order to prevent relapse.
