
Great Britain imposed sanctions against the speaker of the Parliament of Chechnya Magomed Daudov and two more Russians, as well as against a special quick response detachment of Terek. This is stated on the website of the British government.
Sanctions are announced on International Human Rights Day. The restrictions were introduced in connection with the torture and other violations of LGBT rights in Chechnya.
Earlier today, the United States imposed sanctions against the Akhmat football club and the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation. The updated list is published on the website of the American Ministry of Finance.
The list also includes six organizations and five individuals associated with the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov.
The sanctions are expanded within the framework of the Global Act of Magnitsky.
