In November 2018, in the maternity hospital No. 4, 27-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, Zamirakhon Akhmedova, the seventh month of pregnancy gave birth to a boy weighing 700 grams. The child was connected to the lung ventilation system. Employees of the hospital called a resuscitation team led by a neonatologist Elina Sushkevich.
The head of the department of newborns Tatyana Kosareva said in court that the head doctor persuaded Sushkevich to introduce a fatal dose of magnesium sulfate, as she feared the worsening statistics of the hospital.
Indications against the head physician of Elena Belaya were given by the head of the maternity ward Tatyana Sokolova and neonatologist of the maternity hospital Ekaterina Kisel. According to them, she ordered to record the child with stillborn.
White was accused of organizing the murder (part 3 of article 33, paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code), and Sushkevich in the murder (paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code).
