Employees of the IT of the Youth Department of the Vyborg Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church have developed a Labarum program to protect against fraudulent sites that collect donations on behalf of the Russian Orthodox Church. It is reported by TASS.
Labarum is an extension for a browser, which warns of a site from a list of fraudulents, which was created by the Russian Orthodox Church. Now it has more than 20 addresses, the list of sites will be replenished.
It is also planned to attract web volunteers who will track the activity of the sites and find out whether the site belongs to a specific temple and whether it really accepts online recordings.
According to representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, recently "there has been a tremendous take -off of fraud on cards and on the Internet."
The presentation of the program will be held on December 15, then the expansion can be downloaded on the diocese website or in its social networks.
