The EU agreed on sanctions against 29 Belarusian officials and 7 companies associated with the authorities

The Council of the European Union agreed on the third package of sanctions against 29 Belarusian officials and seven companies associated with the authorities of Belarus. This decision was published in the EU official journal.

Among the sanctions were the head of Belteleradio, Ivan Eysmont, the ex-head of the Ministry of Health and the current head of the Grodno region Vladimir Karanik, the head of the Ministry of Information Igor Karanik, the Prosecutor General of the country Igor Swede, a number of heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, judges, officials of the Minsk City Executive Committee and businessmen. According to the European Union, they are involved in the dispersal of protests and the support of the current Belarusian government.
