A resident of Murmanskaya was found guilty of public calls for extremism.
On February 2, 2021, it became known that in Murmansk, the Leninsky District Court found 29-year-old local resident E. Americanova guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism on the Internet) and sentenced her to a fine of 25 thousand rubles.
According to the press service of the court, on January 19, 2020, Americanova published a xenophobic comment on one of the social networks, which, according to experts, contained “linguistic and psychological signs of an incitement to actions aimed at the physical destruction of a certain group of people.”
A more lenient sentence was imposed on the convict in accordance with Art. 64 of the Criminal Code.
