Datsik's racist prank

At a press conference on the upcoming MMA tournament, Vyacheslav Datsik (Red Tarzan) handed his rival Cameroonian boxer Tyson Dijon a bunch of bananas. In response, the athlete threw bananas at Datsik's face.

On February 9, 2012, the True Gym MMA YouTube channel published a recording from the press conference of the infamous MMA and Muay Thai fighter Vyacheslav Datsik (Red Tarzan) and the Cameroonian boxer Tyson Dijon.

During the press conference, Datsik handed a bunch of bananas to his opponent, whom he will fight on February 20 as part of the Kings of the Ring tournament. Dijon threw a bunch of bananas in Datsik's face. Datsik also tried to squabble with Tyson, yelling something incoherently to Dijon.

Some of those present at the event made the remark "You gave bananas. What is this semantic message? Is this something racist?".

“There is a lot of energy in bananas, and the man promised to dry my head, he will need a lot of energy,” Datsik said.

Tyson Dijon, commenting on what happened, said that "I know that he was convicted, recently got out of jail. He was once a racist."
