Sobyanin announced the abolition of a number of covid restrictions in Moscow in the near future

A number of restrictive measures in Moscow, introduced due to Covid-19, can be canceled in the coming month or two while maintaining a decrease in incidence in the city. According to Interfax, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, stated in an interview with the Vesti program on the Russia-1 television channel.

“We see a stable continuing trend to reduce the incidence, although the number of sick is still quite decent, about 500-600 people are placed in hospitals every day. But more recently, there were 1,700 of them. I hope that in the next month or two, if there is such a trend, we will remove these restrictions, ”said Sobyanin.

In particular, due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation, restrictions on city festivals can be removed.

At the end of January, Moscow was canceled by the capital’s enterprises to transfer at least 30% of personnel to remote operation. A ban on the night work of clubs and catering was also lifted.

In January, the Moscow authorities allowed to increase the maximum number of spectators in theaters, cinemas and concert halls from 25% to 50% of the total capacity, as well as resume the work of museums, libraries and other cultural institutions.
