The British politician announced the exit from Amnesty International after a decision on Navalny

The Member of the UK parliament from the Labor Party, Chris Brian, announced the withdrawal from Amnesty International after the organization ceased to consider Alexei Navalny as a “prisoner of conscience”.

“Everyone has the right to a fair trial, no one should be tortured and no one should be put in prison for political views,” Brian commented on the decision. He also noted that he was angry with Amnesty International due to the decision on Navalny.

“There is no justice in Russian courts. Russian judges are Putin puppets. ”

Earlier, Amnesty International recognized Navalny as a prisoner of conscience, and then deprived him of this title due to the opposition’s statements. Later it turned out that the verification of the statements of Alexei Navalny, because of which the international organization refused to recognize him as a prisoner of conscience, was initiated by people acting coordinated and being supporters of Putin.

Alexei Navalny was detained and taken into custody before the trial at Sheremetyevo Airport at passport control after he returned from Germany, where he underwent treatment after the “newcomer” poisoning. The detention was carried out by employees of the FSIN department in Moscow. After the New Year holidays, the department asked the court to replace him with a conditional term with the real one.
