A resident of Ryazan was fined for the video "Let's remember the Crooks and Thieves their Manifesto 2002"

A 24-year-old resident of Ryazan was brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offences.

On March 12, 2021, it became known that the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ryazan under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses (distribution of extremist materials) fined a 24-year-old local resident who published a video on his social network page “Let's remember the Crooks and Thieves their Manifesto 2002.”

A video of supporters of Alexei Navalny was declared extremist in 2013, along with several materials by Russian nationalists, by the Kirovsky District Court of Novosibirsk. All these materials were included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials under number 2066. The content of the video “Let's remember the Crooks and Thieves their Manifesto 2002,” for the publication of which opposition-minded social network users are often persecuted, comes down to listing a number of unrealized election promises of “United Russia” from the manifesto party of 2002 and a call to vote for any party except United Russia. We consider the ban on this video to be unfounded, and the numerous cases of prosecution for its distribution to be unlawful.
