St. Petersburg: a verdict was handed down in the case of an attack on a migrant from Uzbekistan

Neo-Nazis Vladislav Smolikov and Roman Kulev were sentenced to real prison terms.

On March 16, 2021, it became known that in St. Petersburg, the Krasnogvardeisky District Court found two ultra-rightists guilty of attacking a migrant from Uzbekistan.

Roman Kulev was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (illegal trafficking in weapons) and paragraph "a" part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm). The court sentenced him to 5 years and 2 months in a strict regime colony. Vladislav Smolikov was found guilty under paragraph "a" part 3 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to five years in a strict regime colony.

Initially, both young people were charged with paragraphs. "g", "l" part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code with the application of Part 3 of Art. 30 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder by a group of persons motivated by national hatred), but the court reclassified one of the charges.

At the time of the crime, Smolikov was 18 years old, and Kulev was 24 years old.

Recall that on September 16, 2019, in the Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg, at about 11 pm near house No. 16/27 on Sredneokhtinsky Prospekt, ultra-rightists who arrived in the city from Moscow stabbed a 32-year-old migrant from Uzbekistan three times in the back, and also sprayed him in the face pepper spray. Fortunately, the victim managed to survive and was taken to the hospital.

The attackers were arrested on the same day. It was reported that the young people were dressed in clothes popular with far-right brands (SVA STONE), and tattoos with neo-Nazi symbols were found on the body of each: “dead head”, Schutzstaffeln symbols and a swastika. During searches in Kulev's Moscow apartment, a "home-made pistol suitable for shooting" was discovered.

According to media reports, in 2017 Kulev was a member of the Lublin " Russian March ".
