Arkhangelsk: criminal case under Art. 280 Criminal Code

A local resident is accused of publishing xenophobic texts.

On March 16, 2021, it became known that in Arkhangelsk a criminal case was initiated against a 19-year-old local resident under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism on the Internet).

According to media reports, the reason for initiating the case was texts published by him on social networks calling for violence "aimed at representatives of a certain ethnic group."
