Doctors announced that, as a result of an examination, signs of insanity were discovered in a Yakut shaman

Doctors who conducted an examination of the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev said they found signs of insanity in him. The examination was appointed as part of a criminal case on the use of violence against the National Guard (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). This is reported by MBKh Media with reference to the coordinator of the Human Rights Postcard Alexei Pryanishnikov.

The examination was carried out in the Yakut psycho-neurological dispensary. Pryanishnikov, in a conversation with the publication, noted that medical coercive measures could now be applied to Gabyshev.

The case against the shaman was initiated in the wake of the events of January 27, when the security forces came to him to forcibly deliver him to a psychiatric clinic. On January 28, Gabyshev's house was already being checked under the article on the use of violence against a representative of the authorities.

The shaman was forcibly sent to a psycho-neurological dispensary at the request of doctors in early February, and on February 26, Gabyshev was interrogated as a suspect in a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code.

Gabyshev had already been forcibly placed in a psychiatric dispensary. In August 2020, the court ruled that his forced placement in a psychiatric hospital was legal. The shaman was treated at the Yakut Republican Psychoneurological Dispensary from May 13 to July 22, 2020. On May 12, he was detained by OMON officers, the next day he was placed in the PND observatory, there was no communication with him for about a week.

The sword confiscated from him was returned to the shaman.
