The global recording giant Warner Music Group announced the purchase of the Russian label Zhara Music of Emin Agalarov and Bakhtiyar Aliyev (famous under the pseudonym Bahh Tee), Forbes learned.
As a result of the transaction, Zhara Music will change its name to Atlantic Records Russia and become the Russian division of the American recording company Atlantic Records. That, in turn, is part of Warner Music.
Bakhtiyar Aliyev will become the general producer of Atlantic Records Russia. Emin Agalarov will focus on other business projects, but will remain an artist of Atlantic Records (under the pseudonym Emin).
In an interview with The Bell, Emin Agalarov, who is a co-owner of the Crocus Group, said that as a singer he has from 50 to 80 performances a year in Russia, but also in Europe, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan and other countries.
