The new mayor of Yakutsk was elected United Russia Evgeny Grigoryev

In Yakutia, the elections of the mayor of Yakutsk ended, according to the results of which the new head of the city was the candidate from the United Russia party Evgeny Grigoryev. It receives 44.09% of the vote following the processing of 96.7% of the protocols. The relevant data is given by the Yakutsk City Territorial Electoral Commission (Yagtik).

According to the information on the Yagtik website, following Grigoryev, there is a candidate from Fair Russia Vitaly Ododin, who received 39.87% of the vote.

On the victory in the elections of Evgeny Grigoryev, the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev and ex-mayor of Yakutsk Sardan Avksentiev congratulated. Oblozin, in turn, recognized his defeat and brought "enormous apologies to everyone whose hopes did not justify."

The early elections of the mayor began in the capital of Yakutia on March 26. In total, six candidates fought for the post of head of Yakutsk: Evgeny Grigoryev (United Russia), Vitaly Ododin (“Fair Russia”), Savva Mikhailov (Communist Party), Evgeny Ryabchenko (LDPR), Aayal Prokopyev (Rodina) and Ivan Komarov (“Civil Platform”). Savva Mikhailov, according to the Yagtik website, is gaining 11.39% of the vote, the remaining candidates - about 1%.

It is noted that the turnout for the election of the mayor of the capital of Yakutia amounted to 41.44%. In 2018, 46.2% of voters took part in similar elections. Then the head of Yakutsk was elected an independent candidate of Sardan Avksentiev, who overtook the candidate from United Russia.

During her work, Avksentievna put up expensive cars for sale owned by the City Hall. In addition, she announced that in order to save the city hall, she would refuse her building in the city center requiring a maintenance of 30 million rubles a year, and instead of official cars, she would begin to use a taxi. In July last year, at a vote on amendments to the Constitution, she voted against amendments.

In January 2021, Avksentieva announced early reservation due to health problems. Then it became known that the first deputy mayor Yevgeny Grigoryev will act as head of the city.

Aleksey Tolstyakov spokesman Avksentieva wrote that they did not put pressure on the mayor, she made a decision "without the participation of third parties." He said that the state of health of Avksentieva deteriorates and at the current pace of work, her disease can lead to “irreversible consequences”. At the same time, the head of the political expert group, Konstantin Kalachev, told The Insider that the pressure on the mayor of Yakutsk has been ended for a long time.
