Members VI Yakunin Readings, it was proposed to create an institution of special prosecutors accountable to the president, “dealing with issues of monitoring compliance with civil rights at the stage of investigation of administrative, arbitration and criminal cases”.
On March 6, 2021, the VI Yakunin Readings were held in Moscow.
In the final statement the participants of the readings, in particular, called for “reconsidering the recognition of the Islamic Liberation Party (Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami) terrorist organization, as well as to release its followers convicted as terrorists, from places of deprivation of liberty” ; "recognize the right of Jehovah's Witnesses meet their religious needs within religious groups, not having legal registration, and in the future - to provide the Witnesses Jehovah the possibility of registering religious communities in the Russian Federation and register the religious organization of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia as centralized religious organization" ; expressed concern about the situation around the persecution of the Church of Scientology and the Church of the Last Testament.
In addition, the participants of the readings expressed willingness to turn to V. Putin with a proposal to “ initiate the creation institute of special prosecutors involved in monitoring compliance civil rights at the stage of investigation of administrative, arbitration and criminal affairs. The institute of special prosecutors should be accountable to the president and at the same time its activities to be open to civil society. This participation of the head state in the human rights process seems to us more preferable compared to the currently discussed idea of creating a Russian court of rights person" .
