A resident of the Komi Republic was sentenced to a suspended sentence.
On April 1, 2021, it became known that in the Komi Republic, the Ukhta City Court found a local resident guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism on the Internet) and sentenced him to one and a half years in prison on probation.
According to media reports, the reason for initiating the case was publications on VKontakte, in which the man called for "extremist activities against law enforcement officers of the Russian Federation and representatives of a group of people identified on a national basis."
