The foreign intelligence service opened a virtual reception in the darknet to transmit information about Russian security threats. It is reported by "present."
According to the TV channel, the reception of the reception in the shadow segment of the Internet appeared at the end of December 2020 on the main page of the department of the department in the Report Information section, but officially the special services did not announce this.
“If you are outside of Russia and have important information about the security threats of the Russian Federation, you can send it to us in a safe and anonymous way through the virtual reception of service on the Tor network,” the SVR said in a message.
The virtual reception is located in the domain zone .onion, which is not available in ordinary browsers. When registering, the user will receive a code consisting of five English words, with the help of which he will be able to read the answers of the service, if they are. For additional protection, the department offers to encrypt a letter using PGP.
As the channel emphasizes, since the SVR does not offer to use PGP by default, visitors to its reception in the darknet can be calculated if the owners of Tor nodes set such a task.
