Alushta: criminal case under Art. 280 Criminal Code

A local resident born in 1984 is suspected of inciting xenophobic violence.

On April 23, 2021, it became known that in Crimea, a criminal case was initiated against a resident of Alushta, born in 1984, under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism on the Internet).

According to media reports, the reason for initiating the case was publications on social networks in which the suspect "called for the commission of violent acts against a group of people on ethnic grounds."
