A resident of Crimea was arrested for Putin's rap battle with Hitler

Alina Grek was brought to administrative responsibility under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offences.

On April 21, 2021 in Crimea, the Central District Court of Simferopol under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses (distribution of extremist materials) arrested for 5 days local resident Alina Grek, who in 2014 published on her VKontakte page the video “Hitler vs. Putin, the great rap battle” (item 4289 of the Federal List of Extremist Materials).

The Greek believes that the court imposed such a severe punishment on her in order to prevent her from taking part in the April 21 rally in support of Alexei Navalny.

We consider the ban on the video “Hitler vs. Putin, the great rap battle,” and, consequently, the persecution of the Greek, unlawful. The authors of the clip did not promote Nazism, but only criticized Putin’s policies and ridiculed mutual accusations of fascism between Russia and Ukraine.
