April 30, 2021 Tagansky Court Moscow satisfied the claim of the Moscow prosecutor's office for the recognition of the book of the Bishop of the Orthodox Church of the Mother of God "Sovereign" John (Bereslavsky) "Rose of the Seraphs. Bogomilskoe gospel" extremist literature.
Recall experts from the Center sociocultural initiatives Natalia Kryukova (mathematician, candidate of pedagogical Sciences), Alexander Tarasov (linguist-translator, candidate of political sciences) and Viktor Kotelnikov (political scientist, religious scholar, candidate of political sciences) came to concluded that the text of the book contains " statements about the superiority or inferiority of people in depending on their religious affiliation ”, as well as “ calls for the introduction of restrictions or preferences of family relations for a group identified on a religious basis "(in the examination, we are talking about the preaching of monasticism and / or church marriage).
At the same time the defense found , that 18 text fragments analyzed during the examination were not taken from the Rose seraphs." Kryukova confirmed that these passages were taken from other publications, however this fact did not affect the decision of the court.
From our point of view, there are no grounds for banning "Rose of the Seraphites" as an extremist material (more on our position can be found here ).
