A resident of the village of Fedotovo is accused of distributing books about the religious teachings of the followers of Leonid Maslov.

IN April 2021 by the First Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RF IC in the Vologda region completed the investigation of a criminal case on 282 Criminal Code (inciting hatred) against a 59-year-old resident of the village of Fedotovo.

According to investigators, V. Matviets posted in free access on his page in the social network 10 books about one of the religious movements, "positioning the superiority of its adherents over people professing other religious views." According to the findings of the conducted linguistic research, in materials, a group of persons is negatively assessed on the grounds of attitude towards religion and it is about the advantage of one person or group of people over other people on the basis of race, nationality, language, origin. Most likely we are talking about the books of the organization "Union of Co-Creators of Holy Rus'" (USSR), headed by Leonid Maslov. Please note that in January 2016 The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation decided to liquidate the Union of Co-Creators of Holy Russia (USSR). The book of the leader of the organization, Leonid Maslov, was previously recognized as extremist by the Taganrog and Rostov regional courts.

Previously On April 18, 2019, the court found a resident of Fedotov guilty of committing administrative offense under Art. 20.3.1 Administrative Code (excitation hatred or enmity) for a similar offence. He was fined for 10 thousand rubles.
A criminal case was initiated based on the results of checking the materials of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vologda Oblast. The criminal case was referred to the court for consideration on the merits.
