
The Russian woman Sofu Sapega, detained in Minsk along with the former editor of NEXTA Roman Protasevich, was arrested for two months. She was placed in the KGB pre -trial detention center. This was reported by RBC with reference to lawyer Alexander Filanovich.
“Today was the interrogation of Sophia. She was a suspicion of committing a criminal acting act. The preventive measure was chosen - the content of the detention for a period of 2 months. The location of the suspect is the KGB pre -trial detention center. The investigation is carried out by the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus. A subscription about non -disclosure was taken from a lawyer. She will be provided and will provide proper legal assistance. In the near future, the lawyer intends to visit Sophia at the place of its maintenance, ”the lawyer said.
Recall that on Sunday, together with the former editor-in-chief of the Nexta Telegram channel, Roman Protasevich was removed from an urgently set flight and his girlfriend was detained-23-year-old Sofia Sapega.
The Russian Foreign Ministry had previously reported that she was suspected of committing crimes in August-September 2020.
