On May 8, 2021, it became known that a report on an administrative violation had been drawn up in Samara in connection with the illegal construction of a diocesan center at the intersection of Vrubel and Michurin streets - on the territory of the Botanical Garden. The diocese has not received a building permit from the city administration. The protocol on unauthorized construction was drawn up on May 12, 2021, the case will be considered in the Arbitration Court of the Samara Region on June 15. The reason for checking and drawing up the protocol was the protests of local residents against construction in the Botanical Garden.
