China authorities allowed married couples to have three children. It is reported by Sinhua.
This decision was made at a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the CCP, taking into account the demographic situation in the country due to the rapid aging of the population.
From 1979 to 2015, China pursued a policy “One family - one child”. Now it has become clear that one of its negative consequences was a reduction in the able -bodied population. In 2015, any family in the country was allowed to have two children, after which the Chinese authorities recorded a record growth in birth rate.
At the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC reported that the birth rate in China decreased in 2020 by 30% compared to the previous year.
